    Questions worth asking.

The things most people want to know before reaching out.
If something is missing, the 30-minute call is the right place to ask.

    Who are your typical clients?

Researchers and principal investigators considering whether their discovery has the architecture of a fundable venture. Technology transfer offices preparing assets for licensing or spinout. Biotech founders preparing for institutional fundraising. Foreign life sciences companies evaluating Italy as a market entry point or clinical validation site.

What kind of situations do you typically work on?

Situations that do not fit a standard template. A research discovery that needs a commercial logic before it can attract capital. A fundraising process that is stalling for reasons that are not obvious. A foreign company that wants to enter the Italian market but does not know where to start. A TTO that needs a strategic partner to move a high-potential asset forward. The common thread is complexity — scientific, institutional, or cross-border. If the situation were straightforward, you would not need me.

Have you worked on situations similar to mine?

Probably, though I cannot share specifics. Confidentiality is a non-negotiable part of how I work, so I do not discuss client projects publicly. What I can say is that the situations I work on tend to involve the same underlying challenges: translating scientific value into investment logic, navigating institutional complexity, or building the right relationships in a market you do not yet know well. The 30-minute call is the right place to explore whether my experience is relevant to your specific situation.

In which languages do you work?

Italian, English, and French. All three at full professional level — for writing, negotiation, and institutional relationships.

How does an engagement typically start?

Always with a conversation — a 30-minute call, free of charge, where I ask more than I answer. I want to understand the situation before I propose anything. There is no sales pitch and no obligation. If there is a fit, I follow up with a written proposal tailored to that specific situation: scope, deliverables, and terms. Nothing starts without a signed agreement. The process is consistent. What happens inside it never is.

Do you work alone or with a team?

When you engage me, you work with me directly. I lead every project and do the substantive work myself. When a specific technical or legal expertise is required — regulatory, legal, financial modelling — I bring in trusted specialists from my network, always with your prior agreement.

    What does it cost?

It depends entirely on what the situation requires. I do not have a rate card because I do not sell standardised packages. After the initial call I will have a clear enough picture to propose something specific. The proposal will be detailed and transparent — scope, deliverables, timeline, and commercial terms. No retainers sold before I understand what you actually need.

    Do you work remotely?

Yes, by default. The substantive work — strategy, narrative, analysis — does not require physical presence and is done remotely. For workshops, investor rehearsals, or critical institutional meetings, I am available on-site by prior arrangement.

    How do you handle confidentiality?

All information shared before and during an engagement is treated as strictly confidential. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before any sensitive information is exchanged. This is standard practice, not a formality.

I am a foreign company considering Italy. Where do I start?

With a conversation. The Italian market is specific enough that the right starting point depends entirely on your product, your regulatory situation, and what you are trying to achieve — market access, clinical validation, or physical presence. A 30-minute call is enough to map the relevant pathway and identify the most important first moves.

    Still have questions?

The 30-minute call is free, and it is the most efficient way to get answers specific to your situation.
